I came around the corner to see Dawson and Bronson playing Vet. I thought what an ingenius idea for a 4 year old. So sweet! They are going to be the best of friends once the nipping stops. How do you tell a 4 year old to stop running and squealing? Perhaps once the excitement wears off a little.

It is too bad that Bronson has already had a pee accident on his new bed! I must say I love these beds. They are too darn cute. This puppy thing is strenuous. I really don't think I was this tired with my son when he was a newborn. I guess because I didn't have to get up and take him for a walk to go to the bathroom. I have also come to the realization that I am feeding him too much. I was feeding him a cup of food 3X a day but I am going to start limiting it to twice a day. We will have to watch him closely. In all of the books it does recommend the breakfast, lunch, dinner but with this breed being so large - I don't want him to have issues with his joints growing too quickly. He is a lovely dog though and I wouldn't trade him in yet. Although there have been moments where I am wondering, "What was I thinking?" All is good.

Crate Trained - Yay!

Well I am excited. Bronson loves his crate! Not bad for an 8 week old puppy. He is crashed right now. Too much playing on the first night home. Gotta love buying second hand kid's sleeping bag for a puppy bed. Yes it matches the color of his coat.

Well our baby Bronson is finally home. I think him and Dawson are going to be the best of friends. Bronson is okay with the collar but for short periods of time.

Bronson Is Coming Home Tomorrow

I am so excited Bronson is coming home tomorrow. I think it is the one thing that will make this holiday feel like Christmas. I hope Dawson and Bronson get enough time to bond before he has to go back to school.

Bernese Mountain Dogs are very well known by their tri-color and the cross on their chest. As far as I can see Bronson has perfect features.

Here is our baby boy at 5 weeks old. He sure has grown in 2 weeks. He is absolutely gorgeous!!

November 17, 2007 Choosing our Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy!

Well this is my very first blog to dedicate to my very first purchased dog. Whoever thought that would ever happen. Growing up we never bought a dog. It was something you acquired. Especially growing up on a farm.

Bronson is a Bernese Mountain Dog. I am quite pleased with the breeder that we bought him from - Bloemco Kennels from Picture Butte, AB. He was born on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. He comes to our home this Friday, December 21, 2007. There are many people that do not know a great deal about this breed. I would have to say they are the most beautiful dog that I have ever seen in my life. I will make the best attempt to post photos on here but I can't make any promises.
