The Beloved Chicken!

The chicken no longer has feet but he is still a prize. Bronson did get to choose his chicken at puppy classes because his mom chose the Number 7 - he loves this thing. Unfortunately, it is not as strong as his teeth.

Springtime Snow Puppy - April 19-20, 2008

This was an incredible snow fall. Beautifully white but not acceptable in April - however, if you are a Bernese Mountain Dog - Bring On The Snow Day!. I sure hope the pollution isn't affecting snow too much - Bronson can't eat enough of it.

Berner Walk - Tom Campbell Hill - Sunday, April 20, 2008

Good attendance with the frigid weather. 10 snow lovin' Berners!

The dogs did love the snow. I thought Bronson pee'd but it was in fact, the melting of his snow covered tresses. He had a blast. Bella was a trooper keeping up with the pack. Sweet girl!

It was neat to see Gus again - Big Boy! Bronson is a pipsqueak compared to his big brother. I still don't know who is older but it would be interesting to see if that played a factor in their differing sizes.

First Beautiful Day 19 C - No melting

Well we made it through the first hot day with our puppy. We went out to Cochrane. Dawson begged to go to the playground so Bronson and Grandma stayed in car for a little while but decided to come out and join the fun. Here are some photos of our day. We also learned to be very cautious when walking in a school playground - lots of treats on the ground for puppies. Funny how they can try to be sneaky; taking a little rest while trying to reach over for the squished orange (yike!).

Bronson and Dawson are getting closer but Bronson does tend to follow too closely to Dawson which drives him crazy - our puppy has taken on the role of the annoying little brother that wants to play all the time. Unfortunately, Bronson is not all that delicate with hockey pucks, balls and is a little ruff n'tumble with body checking during hockey. He takes Dawson out and makes it worse by jumping on top of him. Full on tackle by 50 lb dog - not much fun when you are only 43 lbs.

Graduating Puppy Kindergarten

Bronson did take part in Puppy Kindergarten with Colleen from Diamond in The Ruff. She knows her stuff. We are hoping to continue with more classes in the Fall but feel more educated about how to have a more well-behaved pooch. He tries our patience but he knows he is loved.

Five Months Old - March 23, 2008

Sir Bronson at his best. Yes he is a spoiled puppy - livin' every puppy's dream of being allowed on the bed. He is only allowed up if he isn't licking certain parts and not jumping up wanting to lie on our heads. He is a little (a lot) to big for that. He was approximately 44 lbs in these photos.
